New Zealand

Way down the bottom of the world, in a place just a little cleaner, greener, purer and a smidgen further south than say, Fiji, where the Pacific Ocean meets the Tasman Sea, there are three small islands known as New Zealand. You will have seen New Zealand in movies because it's the most spectacular, unspoiled place in the world, with snowy mountains, crystal clear streams, vast forests filled with native birds and just a handful of lovely laid-back people all breathing wonderful smog-free air.

Even the birds are laid-back in New Zealand; the Kiwi (not the fruit, the national bird) is so laid-back it doesn't bother flying and only comes out at night to eat prehistoric native bugs like the giant Weta.

To put the 'population density' issue in perspective: Italy, where a lot of the world's bottled water comes from, has about 193 people for every square kilometre of land...

New Zealand has 14.
